A well-known motorcycle enthusiast, recognized for her daring stunts of riding hands-free in scantily clad attire, tragically lost her life in a collision involving two vehicles. The incident occurred mere hours after she expressed concerns about potentially having an accident. Karen Sofia Quiroz Ramirez, popularly known as “Bikergirl” on social media, met her untimely demise on Wednesday when she fell under a truck while attempting to navigate her motorcycle between two vehicles in her home country of Colombia.
The 25-year-old, who frequently posted videos of herself riding without hands and wearing only a bra top without any protective gear, reportedly lost control of her bike. She first collided with a car on one side before being struck by a truck on the other, as per local news sources. Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
In a haunting turn of events, Ramirez seemed to have foreseen her fate hours before her death near Floridablanca, located north of Colombia’s capital, Bogota. She posted a message to her 45,000 followers saying, “I hope I don’t crash because I’m driving without my glasses,” as reported by NeedToKnow.
The exact cause of the fatal accident is still being investigated, according to Jahir Andres Castellanos Prada, a transport official. He suggested that the most probable cause of the accident was Ramirez’s attempt to ride between two vehicles, but emphasized that this theory would be subject to further investigation.
Castellanos Prada also stated that the Prosecutor’s Office would undertake a thorough investigation to accurately determine the cause of the fatal traffic accident. This would involve conducting interviews with witnesses, analyzing CCTV footage, and determining if any of the other drivers involved bear any responsibility for the incident.
