The former chief of the Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire Department in Leet Township, Pennsylvania, Nathan Turner, and his wife, Stephanie Ann Turner, have been arrested following allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior towards a 14-year-old junior firefighter. The couple was apprehended after investigators discovered unsettling text messages exchanged between them, discussing their inappropriate conduct.
The young volunteer firefighter, who had previously regarded the couple as parental figures, was reportedly subjected to unwanted advances from Stephanie Turner. She allegedly expressed her desire to engage in sexual activities with the minor once he reached the age of consent.
The couple is facing charges of making inappropriate sexual contact with the minor. It is alleged that Stephanie Turner exposed herself to the boy during a visit to their home in Leet. Court documents reveal that she reportedly undressed in front of the boy and made light of the situation in a conversation with her husband.
The text messages that led to their arrest were discovered when Nathan Turner’s phone was seized during an investigation into a theft at the Sewickley Water Authority, his previous place of employment before joining the fire department.
The couple has been charged with corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent exposure, harassment, open lewdness, and criminal conspiracy. The fire department has refrained from commenting on the serious allegations but has confirmed that the couple is no longer associated with the department.
Nathan Turner resigned from his position as Chief in August 2025 and has not been involved with the department since his departure. The allegations have raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of young volunteers in such organizations.
