Fire Breaks Out at Disney Park

A blaze erupted at the EPCOT park in Walt Disney World on Saturday, leading to the evacuation of guests from the “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure” ride. The fire, which started in the backstage area of the ride, sent a plume of dark smoke into the sky above the France Pavilion section of the Orlando-based theme park. The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m., according to local news sources.

Disney officials confirmed that all park visitors were safely evacuated from the ride, which is a recent addition to the park and themed around the popular animated mouse character. The “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure” ride offers a 4D experience, inviting guests to join Chef Remy on a thrilling culinary journey through a Parisian kitchen, dining room, and restaurant.

Social media was soon flooded with videos showing the dark smoke rising above the picturesque park. The videos, shared by park-goers from various locations within the theme park, showed the smoke cloud dominating a large portion of the clear, blue Florida sky.

Local officials reported that no injuries occurred as a result of the fire, which was promptly extinguished. At the time of the incident, EPCOT was hosting the International Flower & Garden Festival.

Images captured on March 22, 2025, show smoke billowing above the buildings at the Florida theme park, with the iconic Epcot ball visible in the background.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated. Disney has yet to respond to requests for comment on the incident.
