Father Murdered on Halloween Night, Killer Wore Iconic Movie Mask

A Texas father was tragically murdered in his Houston garage on Halloween night by an assailant who concealed his identity with a white mask, reminiscent of the character Michael Myers from the “Halloween” movie series. The victim was identified as 38-year-old Eric Pait Jr. by his family members. This incident occurred just over two months following the unsolved murder of Pait’s estranged wife, Carman Peterson, 37, who was also the mother of his three children.

At the time of the shooting, two of Pait’s children were inside the house, although they were unharmed. Pait’s third child, a toddler, was not present during the incident as they were with another family member. The police were alerted to the crime scene shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Halloween night, following multiple calls from neighbors and one of Pait’s children.

Interestingly, Pait had been identified as a person of interest in Peterson’s murder, which took place on August 16. Peterson was also shot to death in an apartment in Houston. The connection between the two cases is still being investigated by the police.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a man wearing the iconic “Shape” mask, made famous by the “Halloween” series of horror films, fleeing the scene after the shooting. The mask served as a chilling disguise for the perpetrator, adding an eerie element to the already horrifying crime.

The motive behind Pait’s murder remains unclear, and investigators are working diligently to uncover any potential leads. The investigation into Peterson’s murder also continues, with detectives attempting to establish a link between the two cases.

The tragic events have left the community in shock, and the family is left to mourn the loss of both parents within a short span of time. As the investigations continue, the hope is that justice will be served for both Pait and Peterson, bringing some closure to their grieving family and friends.
