Dismembered Body Found in Singer’s Abandoned Tesla ID’d as Teen Girl

The body of a teenage girl was discovered in the abandoned Tesla of Bronx-born singer David Anthony Burke, known by his stage name D4vd, in California, according to Los Angeles authorities. The girl, whose identity has not been released pending notification of her family, was estimated to be between 14 and 15 years old.

The young girl, who was petite at 5 feet 2 inches and weighed approximately 71 pounds, was described as having wavy black hair. This weight is about 20 pounds less than the average for a girl of her height. She was found dressed in a tube top, black leggings, and a yellow bracelet, and she wore matching metal stud earrings. A tattoo reading “Shhh…” was found on her right index finger.

The girl’s body was discovered wrapped in plastic and locked in the trunk of the Tesla. It is believed that the body had been in the California heat for at least five days, leading to significant decomposition. The condition of the body was so severe that it was initially reported due to the foul odor emanating from the car.

The abandoned Tesla, which had Texas license plates, was traced back to Burke, who is currently on a world tour. Despite the grim discovery, Burke has been cooperating with the police investigation. At the time the body was discovered, Burke was preparing for a performance in Minneapolis and had been actively posting on Instagram for his 2 million followers.

However, the incident has had a significant impact on Burke’s career. He was dropped by both Crocs and Hollister shortly after they had announced him as the face of their “Dream Drop” collaboration. The promotional images featuring Burke were released, but his face was edited out.

Burke gained fame in 2022 when his songs became viral hits on TikTok. He capitalized on this success by releasing his debut album in April and embarking on a world tour. He was also scheduled to perform at next year’s Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago. His most popular song, “Romantic Homicide,” has garnered millions of streams on Spotify.
