Couple Found Murdered in State Park

A devastating event occurred over the weekend in Arkansas, where a couple was found dead while on a trail walk in a well-known state park. The incident left their two young daughters without parents. The victims, a 43-year-old man named Clinton David Brink and his 41-year-old wife, Cristen Amanda Brink, were discovered lifeless on Saturday afternoon at Devil’s Den State Park. This park is a favorite among tourists for its caves, rock formations, and vast forest, as reported by state police.

The couple’s daughters, aged 9 and 7, were found safe and are currently being cared for by other family members. The park, located within the Ozark National Forest, is a popular destination for those who enjoy outdoor activities. The family had recently moved to Arkansas from another state, according to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety.

Arkansas State Police are currently searching for a suspicious individual who was seen in the area. The person is described as a white male, dressed in dark shorts, a dark tank top, and weightlifting gloves. The individual was last seen driving a black four-door sedan, possibly a Mazda, with a license plate obscured by electrical or duct tape, heading towards a park exit.

The bodies of the deceased couple have been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for further examination to determine the cause and manner of death. The motive behind the shocking killings remains unknown as the investigation continues.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders expressed her sorrow over the incident on social media. She stated that she was heartbroken by the horrific news from Devil’s Den State Park and is in close contact with State Police and the Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism as they work to apprehend the suspect. She offered prayers for the family and friends of the victims and assured that law enforcement will not rest until the perpetrator is brought to justice.

Devil’s Den State Park, situated approximately 30 miles south of Fayetteville, is nestled in the Ozark National Forest. The park is a sanctuary for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a variety of activities such as hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, camping, and fishing and boating.
