College Student Found Dead After Football Game

A Texas mother is seeking clarity following the tragic death of her daughter, a student at Texas A&M University. Nineteen-year-old Brianna Aguilera was found deceased near her campus early Saturday morning, after attending a football game tailgate. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, causing distress for her family.

Aguilera’s mother, Stephanie Rodriguez, has expressed frustration with the Austin Police Department’s handling of the case. Investigators have suggested that Aguilera’s death was likely a suicide, a conclusion that Rodriguez disputes. She has pointed out inconsistencies in the information provided by the police, including the claim that Aguilera fell from a 17-story building.

Rodriguez has also raised questions about the events leading up to her daughter’s death. She believes that among the 15 people present in the apartment from which Aguilera allegedly fell, someone must have information about what transpired. Rodriguez has shared that there was a dispute between her daughter and another girl, and she feels that this has not been adequately considered in the investigation.

Despite Rodriguez’s concerns, the Austin Police Department has stated that Aguilera’s death is not being treated as a homicide. They have found no suspicious circumstances in their investigation thus far. The final determination of the cause of death will be made by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Aguilera, a native of Laredo, Texas, was a sophomore at Texas A&M University. She was a high-achieving student, having graduated Magna Cum Laude from United High School, and was pursuing her dream of becoming a lawyer. A GoFundMe campaign set up for her family has raised over $28,000, more than double its initial goal.

Rodriguez has expressed her gratitude for the support she has received during this difficult time. She continues to seek answers about her daughter’s death, hoping for clarity and closure. Texas A&M University has yet to comment on the incident.
