Citibank Executive Found Brutally Murdered in Home

London, UK – A high-ranking executive at Citibank was found beaten to death in her flat in south-east London. Marianne Kilonzi, 43, who held the position of vice president of trade and working capital sales at the financial giant, was discovered dead in her apartment on Argyll Road in Woolwich on Friday evening. The Metropolitan Police have launched a murder investigation and are currently searching for the perpetrator.

The authorities were alerted to the incident after receiving a report expressing concern for Kilonzi’s well-being. A post-mortem examination conducted on Saturday determined that she died as a result of blunt force trauma and head injuries. Detectives believe that Kilonzi knew her attacker and are focused on locating a specific individual.

“This is a tragic crime and our thoughts at this incredibly difficult time are with Marianne’s loved ones and colleagues,” stated DCI Suzanne Soren of specialist crime south, adding, “We believe the suspect was known to Marianne and there is no wider risk to the public.”

Citibank, Kilonzi’s employer, expressed deep grief over the loss of their colleague. “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague,” the bank said in a statement to the PA news agency. “Our thoughts are with Marianne’s family and friends during this difficult time.” No arrests have been made thus far.

The Metropolitan Police is urging anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact them.
