Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, had eerily predicted his own demise in a series of text messages to Candace Owens, a former colleague and friend. Owens, who served as the communications director for Turning Point USA from 2017 to 2019, revealed these messages on her podcast. The texts were dated April 6, 2018, years before Kirk’s tragic end in Utah.
In the messages, Kirk expressed a deep-seated fear that his life could be cut short due to his involvement with Turning Point USA. He wrote, “If I tell you the true prophecy I know in my gut it’s really sad,” and added, “But I hope its wrong.” He further stated, “Since the beginning of TPUSA I knew in my gut that I might get wiped out at any time,” and confessed that he couldn’t explain this feeling.
Kirk’s texts also revealed that he frequently dreamt about his untimely death. However, he clarified that he was not being overly dramatic or fearful, but merely sharing what he believed to be true. He also likened himself to Moses, suggesting that he might lead conservatives to their ‘promised land’ but not live to see it himself.
Kirk’s tragic prediction came true on September 10, when he was fatally shot in the neck during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University, witnessed by hundreds of his supporters.
In the aftermath of Kirk’s death, Owens used her podcast platform to issue an ambiguous warning to those she claimed had “betrayed Charlie,” urging them to confess. Owens and Kirk had professionally parted ways after Owens’ theories became too extreme, according to Eric Bolling, a Newsmax host and member of TPUSA.
Turning Point USA, however, has not responded to requests for comments on the matter.
