The social media community is in mourning following the untimely death of TikTok influencer Taylor Rousseau Grigg, who died at the age of 25. Grigg, who had amassed a following of over 1.4 million on TikTok, passed away on October 4 due to complications from asthma and Addison’s disease, as confirmed by a family spokesperson. It was also revealed that a severe asthma attack was the primary cause of her death.
In the months preceding her death, Grigg had been open about her health challenges. She had shared her experiences of pain and suffering in a heartfelt video on TikTok, where she expressed her daily battle for survival. She had said, “I feel like I’m fighting for life every day. When I didn’t necessarily know what was wrong with me, I’d be in bed in pain just wishing to be dead because I just wanted it to end.”
Grigg’s emotional video also highlighted her frustration with her physical limitations. She expressed her disappointment, saying, “I should be in my prime. I should be able to walk to the mailbox or run and those are just things I can’t really do right now.”
Her husband, Cameron Grigg, announced her sudden and unexpected death on Instagram. In a touching post, he expressed his grief and shock, stating, “No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age.” He praised his wife’s strength and resilience, saying that despite her suffering, she remained a beacon of light and joy to those around her.
Cameron, who married Taylor last year, described her as the “most brave and strong woman I know,” and credited her with saving his life and the lives of many others. He also shared that Taylor had chosen to donate her organs, continuing her legacy of helping others even after her death.
Following Taylor’s passing, her family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to cover the costs associated with her death. Cameron revealed that they were not financially prepared for this sudden loss and did not have insurance. As of Thursday afternoon, the campaign had raised over $51,000 of its $100,000 goal.
Taylor and Cameron’s love story began on social media in 2021. They got engaged in June 2022 and were married in August 2023. Taylor’s final video, posted on September 26, showed her enjoying time with their beloved dog.
