Bride-to-be Assaulted During Bachelorette Party

A bachelorette party in Texas took a tragic turn when the bride-to-be was reportedly attacked by an unknown individual. The incident occurred outside a local nightclub where 27-year-old Canada Rinaldi was waiting for a ride. The assault resulted in a concussion, a broken nose, three chipped teeth, and required eight stitches to her face. The attack happened just a month before her wedding, according to a GoFundMe page set up to cover her medical expenses.

Rinaldi, who hails from Oklahoma, was blindsided by the attacker. She recalls walking towards the back of a car and then waking up in an ambulance. The details of the attack remain a blur to her. Kirsten McDowell, a friend who was part of the bachelorette party, initiated the fundraiser to help with Rinaldi’s hospital bills.

McDowell shared that Rinaldi had expressed that she was having the best trip of her life just a day before the incident. The joyous occasion was abruptly turned into a horrifying experience that McDowell described as the most terrifying and traumatizing night Rinaldi has ever experienced.

The medical expenses from the attack have amounted to $10,000, according to McDowell. Rinaldi is currently recovering and remains hopeful that her injuries will heal in time for her wedding. Speaking to a local ABC affiliate, Rinaldi expressed her shock and disbelief over the incident, stating that she felt as though many of her experiences were stolen from her.

The assailant is still at large. Rinaldi stated that she did not know the man who attacked her and could not comprehend why he did so. Kelly Peralta, one of Rinaldi’s bridesmaids, attempted to intervene during the attack and was punched in the process.

The incident has cast a shadow over Rinaldi’s upcoming wedding. She confessed that she no longer feels excited about planning her wedding. The Dallas police department is urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward.
