Bloodied 7-Year-Old Found After Mother Tried to Kill Him

A seven-year-old boy found himself in a life-threatening situation over the weekend, allegedly at the hands of his own mother. The incident took place in a usually peaceful neighborhood, where community members quickly rallied to help the child in distress.

The alarm was raised when Debbie Allen, a local resident, found blood at her front door. The boy, who had run away from his home in a state of panic, informed his neighbors that he had been assaulted by his mother. Allen recalls the boy’s urgent plea for help, revealing his mother’s shocking admission of attempted murder.

Allen, who declined to be filmed, shared the horrifying details of the boy’s experience. He alleged that his mother, 35-year-old Patrice Gustafson, had attacked him with a statue and tried to drown him. The gravity of the situation was further highlighted when Gustafson, also known as Patrice Garcia, reportedly entered Allen’s home without any clothes on, adding to the confusion and terror of the scene.

Emergency services arrived swiftly at the scene, and Gustafson was taken into custody. The boy was treated for head injuries that required staples. Despite the traumatic event, he has since been discharged from the hospital, much to the relief of Allen and other neighbors who were deeply affected by the incident.

The community has shown immense support for the boy, expressing gratitude for his survival and reaffirming their commitment to safeguarding all children in their neighborhood. Allen noted the fear that the incident has instilled in the community but emphasized their collective resolve to protect any child in their midst.

Gustafson is currently being held, facing several charges, including aggravated child abuse, burglary, and disarming a police officer. This is not her first encounter with law enforcement; earlier this year, she pleaded guilty to drug possession and obstruction of justice charges in a separate case.

The neighborhood remains on high alert as they come to terms with the disturbing events. However, the quick response of its residents has demonstrated their resilience and empathy. As the investigation progresses, the community hopes for healing and justice for the young boy.
