Beloved TV Anchor Passes Away Unexpectedly at 28

The Arizona broadcasting community is in mourning following the sudden passing of a young and vibrant television anchor. Ana Orsini, a 28-year-old anchor for KOLD News 13, a CBS affiliate in Tucson, Arizona, tragically died last week due to a brain aneurysm.

Orsini, a Denver native, was a cherished member of the KOLD News 13 team, where she hosted the station’s flagship morning show. Her colleagues have expressed their deep sorrow and paid heartfelt tributes to her. Cory Kowitz, a co-anchor at the station, shared his grief on social media, describing Orsini as not just an anchor, but a leader and a cherished friend to many at the station.

Kowitz fondly remembered working with Orsini during the morning show, expressing his sorrow at her untimely passing. Tyler Butler, another anchor at KOLD News 13, also paid tribute to Orsini, highlighting her vibrant personality both on and off the camera.

Carsyn Currier, a co-anchor, remembered Orsini as a unique individual who was not only beautiful, talented, and hilarious, but also someone who made everyone around her feel special, heard, and understood. Currier shared that working with Orsini made the challenging early morning shifts much easier.

Orsini joined KOLD News 13 in June of the previous year. She began her broadcasting career in Lubbock, Texas, after graduating from Texas A&M University in 2018. Prior to her stint in Tucson, Orsini worked at KDRV NewsWatch 12 in Medford, Oregon.

The news of Orsini’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her colleagues and viewers alike. The station has yet to receive a statement from Orsini’s family regarding her sudden passing.
