Beloved ‘Miss Rodeo’ Influencer Dies at Age 20

Valeria Mireles, a popular social media personality known as “Miss Rodeo,” tragically passed away at the age of 20. The young influencer’s life was cut short following a car accident in Nuevo León, a northeastern state in Mexico. The news of her untimely demise was confirmed by her family, who have requested privacy during this challenging period.

Mireles gained a significant following on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, where she shared snippets of her life as a cowgirl. Her posts, which often featured her horseback riding and barrel racing, resonated with nearly 100,000 followers, earning her the moniker “Mexico Rodeo Queen.”

Her final social media post, shared just days before her death, was a lively video of her dancing with a friend. Following the news of her passing, tributes from friends, family, and fans flooded social media platforms.

David González, Mireles’ uncle, expressed his grief on Facebook, writing, “Niece Ana Valeria Mireles Villarreal, you will always live in our hearts. We will miss you so much.” A close friend, Cindy, also shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing the pain of Mireles’ departure and the void left behind.

Mireles’ passion for rodeo began when she was just eight years old. Her talent and dedication led her to be crowned Miss Rodeo Nuevo León 2020-2021 and Miss Rodeo Mexico 2021-2022. In 2021, she was a finalist at a national pole racing event and represented Mexico at an international rodeo competition in Wyoming the following year.

The Mexican Rodeo Federation paid tribute to Mireles on Facebook, highlighting her role as an ambassador of cowboy culture and an inspiration to many young women. They wrote, “Her smile lit up every arena, and her passion for rodeo was contagious. Although her passing leaves a void, her legacy will live on in our hearts and in the memory of rodeo.”
