Ariana Viera, a Venezuelan beauty queen, tragically lost her life due to injuries sustained in a car accident in Florida last month. The 26-year-old model is believed to have fallen asleep while driving on July 13, leading to a collision with a truck in Lake Nona, Orlando.
Viera’s mother, Vivian Ochoa, revealed in an interview with Telemundo31 that her daughter had been battling fatigue and fell asleep at the wheel. “My girl fell asleep. She was tired,” Ochoa said. After the accident, Viera was revived but suffered a heart attack before she could be transported to trauma care.
Ochoa praised her daughter’s selfless nature, suggesting that her constant efforts to help others may have contributed to her exhaustion. “She helped too many people,” Ochoa said. “She would stop everything to help you or listen to you. She was always there for her friends, her brothers, her mother.”
In addition to her modeling career, Viera was also involved in real estate and operated a cleaning service called Full House Cleaning Service, as indicated on her Instagram page.
Viera’s father, who resides in Peru, reportedly applied for a humanitarian visa to attend his daughter’s funeral. However, the approval came a day after the service.
Two months prior to her death, Viera posted a video on Instagram in which she humorously referenced her future funeral. The video, part of a trend where people create montages of themselves in everyday situations, showed Viera engaging in ordinary activities like waking up and drinking water.
Viera was set to represent Venezuela in the Miss Latin America of the World 2023 competition in the Dominican Republic this October. Her followers and fans have expressed their shock and sadness at the grim timing of her video and her untimely death.
“I didn’t know that God had given me an angel. I didn’t know that God had given me a little piece of heaven for a very short time,” her mother mournfully stated.
