Actress Tara Reid, recognized for her performances in films such as “American Pie” and “Sharknado,” has made allegations of being drugged at a bar located in a Chicago hotel. This accusation follows the emergence of a video showing Reid being escorted from the hotel on a stretcher. The video depicts a group of people struggling to position an apparently unconscious Reid into a wheelchair.
Reid, who was clad in a tan fur coat and appeared disoriented, was seen with her arm draped around a man, her face hidden in his shoulder. Once situated in the wheelchair, Reid began to utter unintelligible words, her head lolling. As she was wheeled through the hotel lobby, her body went limp, causing her to slump halfway out of the chair. Several individuals had to intervene to help Reid back into the wheelchair.
The video then shifts to a scene where paramedics are seen escorting Reid, now on a stretcher, through the hotel lobby. It has been reported that she was taken to a nearby hospital. A spokesperson for Reid issued a statement indicating that the actress has lodged a police report, suspecting her drink was spiked. She is reportedly fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The statement from Reid’s spokesperson further stated, “Tara is recuperating and requests privacy during this distressing period. She also encourages everyone to be vigilant, monitor your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.”
A representative for Rosemont Police confirmed that they responded to an EMS call at the hotel on Sunday morning and that the patient was transported to the hospital. However, they have not received a report regarding Reid’s allegations of being drugged.
Reid informed TMZ that she had checked into her room late Saturday and went to the hotel bar for a drink. She encountered a group of YouTubers in the lobby during a smoke break, and one of them joined her. Upon returning to the bar, Reid noticed that her drink was covered with a napkin she did not place there. After consuming the drink, the next thing she remembered was waking up in the hospital.
Despite previous battles with substance abuse, Reid maintained that she only had one drink that night. She voiced her shock and fear, urging others to be vigilant about their drinks.
