Over the weekend, Amanda Bynes, the well-known actress, was reportedly seen walking around downtown Los Angeles without wearing any clothes.
Eyewitnesses told TMZ that the She’s the Man star was not dressed when she flagged down a car and said she had gone through a “psychotic episode”.
Bynes then contacted the police and was brought to a police station where she was evaluated by mental health experts, who concluded that she should be placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold. Thankfully, it appears that she was not harmed.
People close to her have said that she is now in the hospital, and might be there for a few days, which is the typical length of a 5150 psychiatric hold. This incident happened almost a year after her conservatorship ended, when she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
TMZ reported that Bynes was meant to attend ’90s Con 2023 in Connecticut over the weekend, but had to cancel due to sickness.
