Abducted Americans in Mexico found, 2 dead, 2 alive

On Tuesday, the Governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal, announced the discovery of the four Americans that were brutally abducted in Matamoros, Mexico. It was revealed that two of the individuals had been found dead, while the other two were located alive; one of the survivors was wounded, while the other was unscathed.

The FBI had shared their support to Mexican authorities in their search for the abducted Americans on Sunday, after they had been kidnapped on Friday. It was previously reported that the two Americans had traveled from South Carolina to Matamoros to receive a tummy tuck from a doctor in the area.

They unfortunately became embroiled in the crossfire between two rival cartel groups, as seen in a video circulating online that showed them being taken away in the back of a pickup truck by the gunmen.

No other information has surfaced on the matter. This is a developing story.
