An Ohio mother has reported that her 5-year-old daughter was brutally assaulted and sexually violated by a group of boys, all believed to be under the age of 10. Antavia Kennibrew took to social media last week to share the horrifying ordeal her daughter experienced on September 13. The local police department is currently investigating the incident.
Kennibrew expressed her disbelief and shock at the state of her daughter following the assault. She described her child as unrecognizable and traumatized. The Cleveland Division of Police confirmed in an October 7 post that its Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit is actively investigating the incident. They have identified multiple children under the age of 10 as potential suspects. However, local officials have not commented on whether charges will be filed.
Kennibrew voiced her frustration with the authorities, claiming they were failing her daughter. She stated that she was told two of the children involved would not be charged due to their ages, despite their alleged involvement in the brutal attack. Kennibrew believes both the children and their parents should be held accountable.
According to Kennibrew, the incident occurred when she dropped her daughter off at a relative’s house in Cleveland. The young girl left the house unnoticed and was allegedly approached by the older children, who appeared friendly. Kennibrew alleges that the boys led her daughter to a remote field, where they assaulted her until she lost consciousness, sexually violated her, and left her for dead.
The children allegedly returned to the neighborhood and continued playing as if nothing had happened. When Kennibrew’s relative noticed the child was missing, she asked the boys if they had seen her. They denied seeing the girl and continued playing. The authorities were eventually called, and the children, accompanied by one of their parents, led them to the location of Kennibrew’s daughter.
Kennibrew described the horrific scene she encountered when she arrived to find emergency medical services treating her daughter. The child was covered in bruises and blood, and her hair had been ripped from her scalp. The mother shared photos of her daughter’s injuries on social media, showing the extent of the physical and psychological trauma the child had suffered.
Kennibrew is now calling for justice for her daughter, urging the police to file charges related to the incident. The young girl is currently receiving therapy to help her cope with the traumatic experience.
