The Irvine Police Department reported that they, along with local fire officials, responded to a call from Wild Rivers water park in Irvine, California, regarding a child in need of medical assistance.
The boy was rushed to the hospital by paramedics, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his condition. The police have not disclosed any further details about the incident. A spokesperson from Wild Rivers confirmed that the boy suffered a medical emergency at the park, which was not related to any water activities.
The spokesperson expressed deep sorrow over the incident, stating, “An incident occurred today at Wild Rivers. A 12-year-old boy experienced a non-water, but medical related incident outside one of our pools.” They further added, “Despite the swift response from our team and emergency services, he sadly passed away later at the hospital.”
